Internet Straubing and Bogen

Great news... the Theresientor now has free wireless internet in the rooms. Trying to keep an internet based business running while paying for access gets to be VERY expensive.

I'll to keep this post a comprehensive list of Straubing and Bogen internet options.... please help me to make this complete and to stay current.

Straubing

• St. Elisabeth Hostpital - free wireless in patient rooms (ortho floor, station 23)
• Internet Cafe on Bahnhofstrasse off south side of StadtPlatz (more detail coming soon.)
• Hotel Theresientor - Free wireless in rooms
• Hotel Roemerhof - Free access to public computer in lobby. Fee based T-Mobile Hotspot access in rooms.

Bogen

• KreisKrankenhaus Bogen - Wired (ethernet) access in rooms for 5 Euro/day
• Internet Cafe (near Woolworth... more detail coming soon... please post if you know.)
• Hotel AmPlatzl - Fee based T-Mobile Hotspot access in rooms
• Hotel Pension Post - Fee based T-Mobile Hotspot access in rooms. Does not work well in rooms away from base located near breakfast room (as of August 2007)
• Pension Sandl - They have internet... Debbie, please let me know what type.
• La Molisana - Wireless internet free to customers

Yahoo.... WLAN is up and running on the ortho floor at St. Elisabeth.

Free wlan at Theresientor works fine, but some advanced functions that I typically use for website development and client files are disabled... Everything that most people use... internet / email... will be fine.
