Default Alpha Klinik / Munich - Table of Contents

This is a work in progress, please ignore for now.

Welcome to the Alpha Klinik / Munich section of the iSpine travel forum. This service is hosted by Global Patient Network and iSpine. As we accumulate more and more information here, these forums will help to make sure that you know what you need to know in order to make your trip less stressful and more successful. Things like understanding the pharmacy system and how to get prescriptions filled after hours may be very important to you. Understanding your hotel options and suggestions for restaurants and sightseeing will help to make your trip more pleasant.

For those who've already been there... please post your experiences here and help me to get this going.

For those who are about to head overseas, I hope you find this useful.

Sincerely,

Mark

PS, if anyone is interested in taking on a small project to move this along, please let me know.

I think calling this place the "former" AlphaKlinik is very misleading as the only connection between this klinik and the AK is the address. Other than that the Beta Klinik in Bonn deserves a more fitting title as the reincarnation of the Ak .

ehblokgotadola,

Thanks for your nice post. Information on the Internet can become dated. You'll see that the information set up in this thread was set up in early 2008, before the upheaval at the AK occurred.

Many of the former former AK employees still work at ATOS Munich. Dr. Baumbach still sees patients in his office across from the ATOS clinic.

I agree with you about the BetaKlinik. IMHO, the BetaKlinik in Bonn has become the finest diagnostic center that I know of and is absolutely state of the art in spine. Dr. Zeegers has landed there. Dr. Hoogland does some surgery there and uses their facilities as a training center. This makes the doctors at the BK extraordinarily skilled and experienced with the MaxMore equipment and techniques. But I'm not sure I'd call the BK an incarnation of the AK.

So, I'll leave this information here for anyone who will be spending time in the area around Arabella Park. Some people may find this useful.
