I read her excerpts and wish I had read this practical and common sensical guide 2 years ago. I do believe my statute of limitations has expired on seeking reimbursement but to others, it may be of huge benefit.

Power and who has it - you do! All you have to do is prove it. I would also further recommend that in knowing your claim is likely to be denied that this material be prepared in advance so this 'zinger' can be sent to your insurance company before they even have a chance to blink.

Mark, you might want to notify Dr.s offices about this process so they can assist with prepackaged info as outlined in this book.

There is still no guarantee that ins co's will come around anytime soon but intimidation works. It's only a matter of time.

Good luck to all still fighting this battle.

When I did this 5 years ago with Bull Shield of California, the statue was quite generous. I think it was 18 months to file... then you could still file, but there was a sliding scale of reimbursement... 90% after 18 months... less later.

I'll be surprised to discover that they haven't closed down options substantially since then. Anyone know?

I've gotten to know Laurie a bit over the last couple of weeks. She's amazing!

I have her book featured on the GPN site. There is an open letter from her to the spine community there. She's also donated a copy to the iSpine lending library. Jen will have it linked in to the system later in the week.

Please let me know how your appeal goes and if you find the book useful.

All the best,

Mark

I'm late in posting this...

Laurie was on the radio a couple of weeks ago....

www.kgmi.com Look for Joe Teehan show... August 20th, Insurance Warrior, Laurie Todd

Very interesting.... it's amazing how her cancer battle is much like our spine battle.
