Where to get MRI on CD transferred to films?
I am in the Los Angeles/Orange Counties area. My last MRI and CT scan were given to me on a CD. I am being considered for a clinical ADR trial, but the surgeon wants to see films and not a CD. I called the company that did the imaging, but they do not produce films, only CDs. I took out the phone book and called half a dozen local MRI businesses, but all said they don't transfer MRI and/or CT scans from CDs to film. Any ideas? I have only a week so it needs to be local.

Hummmm.....
KL Aguilar,
I would call this facility back and speak with the manager. Tell them that your surgeon wants films - not the CD. I can't believe they don't do hard copies anymore. I wonder if you got a busy X-ray tech that was putting you off or something....Sorry, Poncho's cynical mind at work. I mean the little rural hospital that I work at here in Ohio does both and it is a 4 bed ER and a 25 bed medical / surgical unit. I wouldn't *think* you should have to go anywhere else to get the hard copies. Surgeons et al tend to want the hard copies (films) frequently and I find it hard to believe they don't offer this service anymore. |

Did you try Centry City Medical Center? I think they might do it there.
