Red face Narrowing of spinal canal?

Hello to my new friends,
I had a Myelogram CT done last week and the results are something rare from what my DR is telling me.
I have a narrowing of my spinal column and a herniated disc but the fusion is fine, he is having me see a spine specialist next week for options. Has anyone heard of this before and if so what were the options given.
Again I fell fortunate for the 19 years of 80+ percent mobility but it scares the hell out of me to think I can be in a wheelchair the rest of my life.
Maybe because these injuries happened when I was so young and I bounced back so well I have not taken the injuries as seriously as I should have.
I have never been able to talk about my injuries to a forum such as this and it really does help to communicate with people who are going through this life.
Thanks in advance
John

John... please provide more details about myelogram findings... what was rare? It's common that fusion is OK, but problems return... adjacent levels may be at play or advancing stenosis for other reasons may also be present.

Let us know how the evaluation goes.

All the best,

Mark

Dear John, (it sounds kind of funny)

Welcome to the forum. Having walked in chronic shoes, I understand that we always immediately think the worst. Now that you have the results of your test, wait to see what the specialist has to say. I know you're scared and it's certainly within reason, but you're jumping to conclusions. Put the wheelchair away until you get more information.

Take care, Dale
