Schmorls Nodes
Hey! This is my first time on here, but I really need some help. My aunt Crystal was diagnosed with the above... She's done so much for me, I just want to do something, to help her or to understand what she's going through. I have read tons of tutorials about this and researched the net, but I either find something that is unrelated or things with words that I cannot understand.
If anyone could give me some info about possible treatment or anything, please do! Also, if you know of anywhere she might go to get help, please don't be shy... We'd like to try some specialists in Ohio, but we don't really know where to go.. Thank you so much! |

The schmorls nodes are defects in the endplates of the vertebral bodies. In my experience with clients I've been involved with, they are not thought to be painful and were not a significant factor when deciding surgical options. I've seen many people with schmorl's nodes at every lumbar level... some quite large.
My guess is that this is more of an observation than a diagnosis. I found some good info here. Mark
