Default Severe back pain

Hey all,

I have been having some crazy back pain recently. What could be wrong? I got hurt while I saw skiing last year. Is it always a spine problem? What kind of doctor should I go to? I was just trying to tough it out because we don't have a lot of money to go to a doctor, but it is getting so bad.

Default do you live in the US?

Generally one can go to a county hospital and get reduced fees. It may take all day to be seen so I'd bring something to make yourself comfortable on if you have to lie down in a waiting area tho at least you might be able to get evaluated and see what's going on. Sorry to hear you're hurting so badly!!!

Maria had a great suggestion. If you were able to pick a doctor, I would definitely go to an orthopedist. One that specializes in spine would be the best, but they are expensive.
You should get it checked out if you are in a lot of pain
Good Luck

Thanks for your advice guys. I'm spending today on the phone with my insurance to figure out if they will cover me on a surgery and by a surgeon of my choice. I will look for an orthopedic!
