Cervical ADR recovery
Greetings,
I will most likely be having 2-level cervical ADR surgery with extensive decompression. I'm trying to figure out an estimated return-to-work date, doing typical office work (I'm a graphic designer). I know every case is different, but I'm thinking of returning to work part-time at 3 weeks post surgery. I was off 5 months for my lumbar ADR surgery, but it has been explained to me that cervical ADR recovery is much easier than lumbar. Any opinions or experiences on this subject? Thanks, Jeff |

Jeff, contact me off the forum and I'll put you in touch with cervical ADR patients who had the easiest of recoveries, moderate recoveries, and not so wonderful recoveries.
Part time at 3 weeks seems achievable. Full time at 3 weeks would be possible in some best case scenarios, but I wouldn't count on it. Some people with ultimate good outcomes are still not very functional at 3 weeks, but I don't think this is the norm. Mark
