Too good to be true usually is.
This looks very interesting. All MISS procedures are a compromise. Less invasive is wonderful. Being able to see the surgical field and surrounding areas is wonderful. Being able to work with tools in the area. Less invasive is great if through the less invasive access they can accomplish the goals of the surgery. Often, that depends on being lucky enough to not have issues that cannot be seen via the less invasive access. I suspect that this is effective for people who are not too far down the degenerative cascade. Most of the people I run into are too far gone for effective MISS treatments. I would like to see more about this procedure. I wonder about its application for people who have had spine surger and are getting the 'scar tissue' diagnosis. Can this scope allow effective decompression for conditions other than a frank herniation? As usual... I'm not a doctor... take everything I say with a huge grain of salt. Mark
