...Problems stabilising/holding my head up??

Hi ive been following this forum, and i think you people are doing a excellent job.
My question is do most with cervical problems have problems stabilising /holding there head or a difficulty lifting there head(sounds kind of strange?)

Welcome!
I'm not sure exactly what you're describing--it might help for you to give more information about your cervical issues. But I can say that before surgery, I could not look up at the ceiling, fell asleep during a performance of Ka (Cirque de Soleil) because we were sitting up front and I couldn't lift my head to watch them climb vertical walls, and my head tilted to the right. One of the neurologists I saw who refused to believe that I had a c5/6 herniation diagnosed me with torticollis of unknown origin--which speaks more to these movement issues than to the reality of her diagnosis.

Welcome to the forum though sorry you find a need to be here. I can't comment on your cervical proble,ms but please tell us more about you, your doctors, surgeries, tests and so on. Also, where do you live so perhaps we help you find a doctor.

A lot of people with pain issues describe themselve as unstable or difficult to hold up because when the do anything that loads off balance, their pain increases so much.

Some people with 'swan neck' literally can't hold thier head up. (Picture old person walking with face towards ground. I've seen this following laminectomy that destabilizes so much, the spine collapses forward in this way. Hopefully, that is not what you are talking about.

Can you describe in more detail?
