Default Trigger Points in butt + leg pain

I have been told that I have trigger points in the buttocks (gluteus minimus, piriformis) causing a lot of butt and even sciatica type leg symptoms. Has anyone else had this and how did they treat it? Thanks

Rob, please check out my posts regarding Dr. Stark. In my time there, I met patients who had sciatica resolved by SI joint surgery. Dr. Stark's technique is not similar to old surgical techniques for immobilizing the SI. His procedure involves expanding the joint space which may have the effect of decompressing the lower lumbar nerve roots that run near the SI. I'm not suggesting that your SI is the problem, it is something that may be considered. I also have clients with piriformis syndrome.... I hope you've already been evaluated for this. Call me late afternoon today or any time later this week if you want to talk.

All the best,

Mark

Default Butt and leg pain

Hi Rob
I experience buttock pain, and heel pain too. Not constantly and I have been told I have a tight piriformis. I have had myofacial work done, and it helped alot but was never ending! Stretches helped too

Have you had any trigger point massage done? I had injections for me they were worse than useless in fact they made it alot worse but that was in my shoulder.

Hope things improve for you soon
