Flu Shots
 

i was wondering if anyone knows of any problems with getting a flu shot shortly after ADR?

Don't know, but I'll add it to my page-long list of ???s for my post-op visit on the 31st. Thanks for thinking of it!! I would personally think that it would be worse to get the flu, but then again, I didn't think pre-dental antibiotics were necessary, so what do I know?:)

i really like getting the flu shot with it i dont get sick all winter long. right after the shot one can normally expect feeling alittle under the weather.

I haven't heard of any problems nor am I aware of them with getting the flu shot.

Perhaps something to ask the pharmacist.

The pneumonia shot works well too to prevent illnesses like this.

I'm seeing Dr. Lauryssen on Monday (if he doesn't cancel again) and I'll ask him.

I saw Dr. L this morning and he said there is nothing to worry about. So let's get a little peace of mind if nothing else.

thats good news as i prefer getting the flu shot if they offer it. :)

FYI, I received a flu shot from my PCP last week I am 2 years post op ADR times two. No worries. More issues going to the dentist it seems and getting a load of antibodtics in your system.

Ps: everyone else got the flu but me..so kudos for the shot and my PCP, he req'd it to me as I am near half a century, lol
