"Severe" intraforaminal stenosis
I have this on two levels.
Does this mean that surgery is a must? My sense is that if no surgery, the osteophytes could "bite" on the nerve and cause permanent damage. As I have facet arthrosis, I guess fusion's maybe the best option. Will see Regan in a few days. So my question is that if "severe", is surgery a *must* sooner than later? Weird, I'm in pain but functional and can sit with meds. Thanks, Allan |

Have you debriefed the new finding with your doc?
Same questions as before the findings.... 1. Am I bad enough to justify surgery? 2. Do I have any resonable expectation that things will get better without surgical intervention? 3. Do I have options now that I'll give up by waiting / how serious is the risk of more permanent damage from waiting.
