Well, I have a Select Comfort matress (the sleep number bed). Anyways, I seem to like it. I had a waterbed prior - not good for spineys.

I have heard others praise another matress - it is like some sort of memory foam. The name escapes me at the moment.

Thinking about mattresses is funny for me. When Diane and I got our first apartment, we bought a lot of used furniture, including a used mattress. It was a high quality mattress, but it may have been 10 or 20 years old when we bought it in 1976. Several years ago, we bought a new mattress... nothing special, but our new mid-range pillow-top is soooooo very comfortable. Only after getting the new mattress, did we realize how stupid it was that we were probably sleeping on one that might have been 35 to 45 years old. What a difference!

I've heard great things about the sleep comfort... never tried one. I think the good memory foam is Tempurpedic.

we have a queen sized tempur-pedic and its wonderful only problem is you will stay sleeping in any position as its that comfy. i have no regrets after getting over the sticker shock.
