Has anyone used Platelet Rich Plasma for low back problems

My doctor recommended me Platelet Rich Plasma for my low back problems. Anyone has done it bebore? With success? :)

However I'd be interested to hear how/why it's supposed to help and with what conditions or types of spinal pain. Did your doctor give you this information?
