Default MIS - Fusion going through tailbone

I found the following video on youtube for a MIS at duke university medical center. It is a fusion going through the tailbone and removing the center of the disc then fusing. Very interesting.

YouTube - New Back Surgery Reduces Pain, Recovery Time

Does anyone know what this is called?

No need to delete it... topics come around again... if you are reading another thread about it, either paste the link into this one, or post to the other thread so it jumps to the top.

I've obeserved and AXIALIF procedure... very fast and easy. I also have a client who has lived the horror of a failed AXIALIF procedure. They don't have a reasonable plan B if it fails. I understand that it can break down even after a successful fusion as the screw never really gets unloaded (like the hardware does with traditional fusions.)

Much to consider. All the best,

Mark
