ADR in the health-care debate...
I don't want to start a political discussion here as I don't think it will be productive. Having said that, ADR patients have a special place in the debate because we've had insurance company bureaucrats getting in between us and our doctors and denying access to long-ago FDA approved technology for years.
A friend sent me links to a film she participate in... I thought you'd like to see. Robert Greenwald's Brave New Films or Sick for Profit. (Same film, both sites.) Mark |
Interesting
That's all good and well but who is going to see it? It won't have any impact if it's not aired on a major network right?

Years ago, as a small business owner, I had access to a co-op type of insurance that went bankrupt because of mismanagement. I've often thought it could work with enough people. As a non-profit, premiums would be less with more benefits, no lobbyists, little advertising, salaries on a par with non-fortune 500 companies. Only funds held would be for reserves. Sorry, I think I feel asleep and had a dream... would be nice. |
It is interesting that the producers of the film chose to feature the ADR issue.
I too would like to see this get major network air time--I wonder if they've sent it to 60 Minutes, CNN, etc. and if so, what the response was. We can all help by sending the link to friends and relatives. |
