Default Question about two doctors in Chicago area...

I am going up to Chicago in June for my Step-son's graduation and have made an appointment with Dr Steven Mather in Downers Grove. Has anyone heard anything about him?

Also, another name I have is Dr Ronjon Paul? Anyone heard anything about him either?

Discssectemy L4/L5 January 2007

MRI May 5th - showed "moderate sizd protruding disk in the the left paracentral location at the L4-5 level which appears to a more porminent comparison to the prior examination" and "appears to impinge upon the exiting nerve root"

May 11th Dr Apptment - Told that another Discsectemy could be done.

The silence is deafening

We've repeated that the choice of surgeon is perhaps the most important in this rocky road of spinal remedies. Just because no one has heard of these doctors may not indicate their expertise but then again...

I did find some more on Mather at least.

he specializes in failed back surgeries and is trained in both charite and prodisc, so at least it's heading in the right direction for me.

I have actually met with Dr. Mather recently as I am in the market for disc replacement. I was very impressed with his disposition and knowledge. He informed me that he currently only uses the ProDisc.

I plan to follow up with Dr. Mather once I have researched other alternatives.

I hope this little bit of info was helpful.

Thank you Rev Zen, that puts me at ease a little.

I have actually been leaning towards the prodisc, so I like that
