Just another question...............
Hey!!
Ok, I am REALLY embarrased to ,ask this question but I really have NO CLUE about any of this stuff!!! What is an ADR?? Sorry if I seem like a fool for this, but I am curious. Thank you!! ~~CALLA~~ |
ADR stand for artificial disc replacment and it is just that, just like an artificial hip or knee. Today, there are more to choose from than even 1 year ago with each having both good and not so good elements. Doctors using them generally think that their choice is the best but you must choose that for yourself. Again, Mark is your goto guy.
Happy Thanksgiving all and I hope you all have easy holiday shopping experiences. Dale |
CALLA,
Feel free to ask us ANY question on here. - There was a time that I didn't know what ADR meant because it was sooooo new (and still is for some docs and patients). We all have to start learning somewhere Remember: The "dumbest" question was the one that was never asked. Please don't hesitate to ask what is on your mind. That is how you learn and others that have the same question(s) learn as well. :) TTYL, Poncho PS Just as a side note. Those of us that are taking business courses or come from a business acumen may think "ADR" means "American Depository Receipts".... - Okay, time for Poncho to go to bed now. |
Calla,
The first question is always the most important question, remember that! Dale is right about how there are more artificial discs now than there were a few years ago. I had ADR with the Charite disc in 2004 and only that and the Pro-Disc were available. Now there is the Maverick, and i think another one? It is definitely important to research the different discs and weigh the pros and cons. You can find really good information on medical journal websites. |
Just in case you see these around too:
DDD = Degenerative Disc Disease LBP = Lower Back Pain PM = Pain Management Doctor PT = Physical Therapy WC = Worker's Compensation AMAV = Maverick Disc |
