Default Dog Beach in San Diego/Ocean Beach

Anyone living down this way and want to go to Dog Beach?? I am taking care of a yellow lab that weighs 88lbs and she's a great beach dog~ my dog is a mini schnauzer and weighs under 20lbs.

The lab is really wonderful at the beach and in general in terms of obedience.. my dog on the other hand ~ well, she's better in the company of this dog, I'll say that much!

Come on down if you're anywhere nearby and have some time to spend at the beach!

Maria,

Years ago we thought about settling in the San Diego area and I'm very sorry we didn't. No, instead we settled in the hot, hot, hot San Fernando Valley and quite honestly, I pretty much hate it. Now my kids are older and settled nearby and I won't leave them (my grandchildren).

Though not a water dog, Lucy loves to run and play with other dogs. She'd love it but...

Have fun, Dale

Default re San Fernando Valley

Dale,
I hear you on that one re the heat.. must have been bad those last few weeks in August!

I've not taken Leila to the beach by myself as she's big.. and can swim much further than I will go into the water. She's my stepson's dog so I wouldn't want to lose her tho I'm pretty sure she wouldn't lose me!

My Lola is a little wave chick. She loves to run into them~ it's really funny to watch her and I only wish I was as good at it as her!

Anyway, it's raining today so no doggie beach for us~ hope everyone can hold their bladders/bowels awhile

Default Leila and Taffy

Taffy,
Beautiful picture, nice sunset! I'm guessing that's Huntington Beach/Bolsa Chica?
Come on down and join Leila anytime at Ocean Beach/dog beach! Lola will want to come along as well if permitted!
