We have a new grandbaby!
 

Hi everyone. What a whirlwind week. A death two days ago, and a birth today. Amazing. It makes me cry. But it's a good cry. At officially 1:03 pm today, our first grandchild, Tullia Louise Turman, (going to call her Tully) 6 lbs., 6 oz., 20 inches long, strawberry hair, decided to join all of us, with a twinkle in her eye. She's absolutely gorgeous. (am i a little biased?) ;) i am so relieved she is here, especially before my surgery, so i got to be there for the whole thing. Tomorrow morning is my dr. Appt. W/ the surgeon, so i am looking forward to that, as well.

If you think the birth was great, wait until she calls you Grandma for the first time. These little monsters are the most precious gifts.

I'm almost 2 years in on the first grandchild. I keep saying, if I new it was so great, I'd have had kids way earlier. I can't believe how much better grandparenthood is than everyone says.
