Hope, I have known several people with the strange groin twitching from lower lumbar problems. It still may be possible that it comes from c-spine... what can you do except troubleshoot completely. (it is a shame if you have to self-pay MRI's)

I certainly get the upper back and shoulder pain from my c-spine. My cervical problems are lower than yours... my guess is that c-spine is a possiblity. I would not be surprised if lumbar problems could make your cervical symptoms worse, as 'rebalancing' has to occur when you compensate for the lumbar issues. That can flare other problems.
