I believe they can block the pudendal nerve, so you can see if you get relief from a diagnostic injection.

I have a client who also had RF ablation of the coccyx. Unfortunately, the results were not good and he was worse after the procedure. (And still is years later.)

I wonder if your relief from the ablation was really from a steriod or other analgesic meds applied as part of the procedure??? It's hard to imagine the effects of an ablation being reversed after 2 days.

I also have clients with coccygectomies... some good, some not so good. If the coccyx is dislocated, mobile, causing pain... removing it is an optione.
