Leg firing almost constantly
Well nothing is getting better, the world, the economy, my back - so we decided to finally visit Hungary, Julius' birthplace. We're also going to Italy. A big plus is stopping in London where I'll finally meet Vicky, another spiney who I've known (in writing) for more than 4 years. Neither of us did very well after our surgeries which were about 1 month apart, and we sought consolance with each other. Though both of us are doing much better now, we have kept our friendship going.
A big however - is for the past several weeks, my left leg has been firing almost constantly. It's very heavy, muscle spasms, burning foot and just a general discomfort/pain. At night, I don't know where to put it. My right leg seems to have sympathy though by itself represents no problems. Also, I woke up this morning and my back wasn't happy either.
As I'm not a world traveler per se and am quite a fearful flyer, I'm hoping this is nothing more than the stress of putting this together, having some flights cancelled via the British Airways strike and trying to make sure everything at home is taken care of, especially Lucy, who is now almost 11 and feeling her age. I'm even distracted while meditating. I actually thought about going back on Lyrica for this short time but decided against it.
So right now, I'm hoping my leg holds up throughut this trip during which we'll be out and about most of the time. I'm trying to pace myself with only half day excursions but this isn't entirely possible, too much to see and do in too short a period of time.
Anybody have any suggestions?
Dale
